Copy your address
In Selene, open the screen to receive money and copy your address. It starts with bitcoincash: and it's safe to share.
Claim your $1
One per person. We check every claim by hand before we pay, usually within a few days. We only use your email if there's a problem with your claim, and we never share it. Questions? Email vote@votewithyourmoney.org.
Spend it
Tip someone, pay a friend back, pay anyone who takes Bitcoin Cash. A dollar that goes straight from your wallet to theirs, with no bank or card company in the middle, is your first vote with your money.
The rules
- This is an experiment. We may change it or stop it at any time, and we'll say so on this page. A claim we've already accepted is still paid.
- What it is: $1 (US) in Bitcoin Cash for each of the first 50 people who set up their first Bitcoin Cash wallet and claim it here. Nothing to buy.
- Opens: Sunday, November 1, 2026 at 12:01 AM Pacific time (UTC-7). It ends when 50 have been given, or when we close it.
- One per person: one claim per person, per email, per wallet address and per device, and no more than 2 from the same internet connection.
- First wallet only: it's for people new to Bitcoin Cash. If you already had a Bitcoin Cash wallet, please leave it for someone who doesn't.
- 18 or older, or the age of majority where you live if that's older.
- Checked by hand: we check every claim before we pay. We can refuse a claim that looks like the same person claiming more than once, or any other abuse. A refused claim doesn't use up one of the 50.
- Payment: sent to the address you gave us, usually within a few days and always within 14 days of your claim, at CoinGecko's BCH/USD price at the time we send it. Check your address carefully: Bitcoin Cash payments can't be reversed.
- Your email is used only if there's a problem with your claim. We don't add it to any list and we never share it.
