Rob, Rob, Rob... why did you do it?

Rob McGowan used to be a friend of mine up until he told me he wasn't. He used to call us the three amigos or three musketeers, something like that. Three buddies anyways, me, Rob and Kane. Guess those days are over... I blamed Kane falsely for encouraging Rob to kidnap my dog, Laro, that I have looked after and loved for three years now. It was not something Kane said, it was Rob himself who chose to act without a word to me at all. Rob dog-napped my dog Laro, whom many on Gabriola Island know well from the community Sunday dog walks led by Daryl.

Rob went to my parents house where Laro was living while I was incarcerated in the PIC unit of the Nanaimo Hospital. He claimed Laro belonged to his sister and was never my dog to begin with. I have a strong memory of Rob giving me Laro and pleased that he had chosen me to give him to. An unforgettable memory actually.

So Rob goes to my parents house, tells them he is there to take Laro, since after three years of Laro being my dog, part of my family and Zoe's companion, that was now over. He obviously convinced or said enough to my Dad that my father strangely chose to hand Laro over without a fight.

At some point, Rob called me to fill me in on what he had done. I'm pretty sure he called me while I was in the PIC unit. I was so drugged up while there, hard for me to recall what happened. He told me then that we were no longer friends and he was sending Laro to his sister in Ontario? on the 28th of August. I think I was in too much of a shock to process what he had just told me. I couldn't understand how he could have done such a thing without speaking to me first. How is that possible? People think they can just act, do what they like and there will be no consequences? No accountability? Very bizarre.

Reminds me of all the people who think they are writing in secret over on the "Gabriola Community Board" and on "Life on Gabriola" as well. Strange days...

These two clowns run the "Gabriola Community Board." Quite proud of themselves I hear. It wouldn't be so bad if they just named themselves properly, rather than some luring, inviting title that doesn't reflect the reality. It's not a "community" board at all. Should rightly be called: "Proud Gabriola Island Chattering Community of Hate and Slander." At least then everyone would know what they are getting involved in.

Getting back to Rob. What to do about Rob?
